Reasons to Make an Appointment to See Me
People come to therapy for many different reasons and at varied points in their lives. Some common reasons are:
Acting Out/Impulsivity Disorders
Difficulties with Children or Teens in the household
Alcohol and Drug Abuse
I specialize in working with individuals and couples to use their creativity, strengths and even their limitations to change the things in their lives that make them unhappy.
I have worked with a broad range of client concerns including the challenges of life stage transitions, relationship and career difficulties, depression, bereavement, chronic illness, and alcohol/substance misuse problems.
Adolescents and Children
I have experience working with complex familial issues such as parenting a child or adolescent with a behavior disorder, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, medical conditions, ADHD, as well as with blended families/ stepparenting/ adoption, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
I have experience working with couples experiencing stress due to infidelity, finances, parenting, chronic illness, domestic violence, substance abuse, infertility, family planning, and adoption.
I have experience working with individuals whose issues are best addressed in an individual therapy setting. When engaged in individual therapy, one can focus on feelings of self-worth, exploration of personal beliefs, emotional reactivity, and how these internal dynamics are manifested within the context of one’s relationships.
